I am done. The tone of some members responses to others is something I am no longer willing to accept. Too many threads are full of others displaying troll-like behaviour for my tastes. Creating a two-tier forum was the last straw. Call it what you will. You are creating two classes of forum members. My signature, while perhaps over-the-top in this case, applies.
Please remove me from the forum list. I will not respond to any messages. My apologies to those members who are here to learn, this is not about you. Keep learning about the wonderful world that is photography. I will go elsewhere.

Don't let the trolls chase you away. Don't let them win.
There are jerks everywhere—and some of the posters are fighting a personal vendetta—but to give it so little time (and effort) strikes me as a bit overly sensitive.
I’ll leave when it no longer interests me—or I die—whichever comes first.....
Until then: I’ll continue to learn from those who provide useful insights, useful information, and images that inspire and delight....

You are not alone. For me, the embracing of a two-tier elitist forum that excludes most members from interacting, has put a bad taste in my mouth as well.
For now, I will not leave--hope you don't either.
That's interesting, I don't see any option to delete your own account....

Pardon my ignorance but what is the 2 tier forum you mention?

I agree and I hope I'm wrong, but I think its only a matter of time before most of the Main Photography Discussion ends up in the other tier.
I guess the OP ain't gonna read this...but just in case:
There are "trolls" everywhere, not on online or in photography forums. There a selfish, condescending, boorish and narcissistic self important folks in so many environments- in the usual places and in places where you would not expect to find them- in houses of worship, the government, in professional offices, in stores and shopping malls! Ever that a road trip? WOW! SOME folks just have no manners and don't know the meaning of kindness and patience.
Good new is- believe it or not, the bad guys and gals are in the minority. Even here, on this site, there are masses of folks who reach out and help, advise and encourage others every day.
If you are gettin any benefit form this forum and you decide to stay here, just communicate with the "good-guys" and ignore the bad guys, bullies and cyber-thugs. If you run into a bad actor- don't bother to spar with them- that is pouring gasoline of the fire and that is what the troll want.
I manage 2 specialized sections and am gonna help out with a new one that is dedicated to advanced advice.Come down take a look at some of the specialized sections. As a manager, I don't tolerate childness and rudeness- I just delete that stuff.
I hope this helps!

Despite the negatives mentioned, there is still some good stuff here.

I believe it’s a reference to “Advice from the Pros”...
UHH has never been perfect.... Remember, it is “free”.
FWIW, I find the clique nature of FYC more annoying. My solution? Don’t go there. Works for me....

A new section called "Advice from the Pros". You can find it by scrolling down "All Sections" on the Home Page. By design, a select few pro members will respond to questions from the rest of us with no other interaction-- except between the esoteric circle of pros.
Anyone chime in, please, if I have misstated the plan.
