Reinstall Windows - A Checklist

I just had to do this last week because I blew some important functionality away by accident (not Windows fault) and I could not restore it properly. I did kind of the same thing as in this article, but in a different way. They did a couple of things that I wish I would have thought of. Oh, well. At least I saved the most important things.

I don't like reinstalling Windows, but sometimes it's necessary. Glad it worked for you.

I regularly reinstall windows on one PC as this gets rid of all the junk that's built up. I back everything up to external storage, I also save any downloads I need to reinstall on a USB stick.
By regularly I mean 2-3 a year.
