Once you go flying, you will be looking for places to go, watching the wind forecast, purchasing more batteries, getting video processing software, and then take your DSLR with and take photos of your quad in the air.
It will open a new fantastic world to you, have fun.

Short answer No! But as a hobbiest you could have a drone weighing up to 55 lbs if you have deep pockets.

Until you get some flight hours in, keep in mind that drones are prone to falling into volcanos and being downed by eagles and spear throwing Russians.

There are lots of regulations to take into account, and a lot of people object to drones as intrusions and an invasion of privacy.

Admittedly a drone is harder to hit than a Google bus (SF news story), but people do take pot shots at them. I found a dead, broken drone on my driveway a couple of months ago, not an expensive one, but no identification on it.

If you go down the drone path an "if found, contact ...." label might be good, but could also get you into trouble if it is found in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And do watch out for the falconers, raptors are far better fliers and predators than any affordable (non military) drone.

This sounds like advice I got from an experienced rider when I got my motorcycle back in the early 70's. He told me "it's not if you will crash your bike, it's when". He was correct.
