The first two shots are just before sundown. There was a storm brewing about 25 miles to the East so I got a coupe of shot from two different places before dark. When I got to the house I told my girlfriend that there was a storm brewing to the east. While were watching a movie I noticed some flashes of lightning through the window, and I thought its time for the tripod. I was my first attempt at lightning photos I got my camera and tripod and went outside. The first 2 photos are 1/250 sec, f8, ISO 200. The lighting was 20 sec, f4.5, ISO 800. Some were tweaked a bit differently. Camera was a Canon EOS t5 with a 18-55mm kit lens at 18mm. The light in the upper left is Jupiter
Nice captures, That must have been some storm.
Thanks Heather. It was pretty cool. I love those storms as long as no one gets hurt
Very nice. I think my next adventure into photography, after macro, will be weather photography.
Great set of photographs, thank you for sharing.
Nice set! You need to send some of that to the Panhandle. Sure could use some wet stuff. A fair size drought has started.
Thank you kpmac, blue, and Paul. Paul you know since hurricane Harvey came thru it has been really dry here. Those pics were from July of 2017.
I was fishing the Port Arkansas Pier the week before the hurricane.
I've tried lightening but it it never works out. Glad that your did.
