I am currently shooting with the Nikon d-800 and am thinking of upgrading to the d-850, has anyone worked with this camera. I shoot a lot of Civil War Reenactments. Here is a composite I made of putting our group in front of Meads Headquarters at Gettysburg.

This photo is from The Library Of Congress which I cleaned up and added a sky and then cut out our group and put in the picture and changed to sepia.

Looks great. What is the D850 going to do for you that the D800 doesn't?

If you could list 3-5 things the D850 has that your D800 doesn't and you truly desire them, then go for it. If not, stick with what you have.

I have the D850, but as I jumped to it from the D7100, I don't know how helpful I can be on making that decision. As the others have said, what is it you want on the D850 over the D800 is a very good question to answer, first.

Nicely photographed. Sepia is the right call for this image.

I would agree with Dan. What you have seems to do a fantastic job for what you want a camera/PC combination to do. Matthew Brady would be proud.

If they had a D850 the South might have won.

I like the image and the way you processed it!

Since previously owning the D7100, I'm guessing you owned FX lenses already for your new D850?

Save your money by not falling for the hype of the D850. Your D800 is perfect. Look at your images!

The one thing that would be nice is shooting speed would be nice for sports and that fire coming out of the canon picture. I think its 10 fps
