Really? Closing because of the tax bill? I think not. Did you see the part about converting 12 into fulfillment centers for on-line orders? Maybe it has more to do with changing shopping patterns. Also, there are 2 Sam’s wthin 3 miles of my house - maybe they built too many. Also, both have been recently remodeled. Now when you go in, they are layed out just like Costco - hmmm, why are they imitating Costco? No, there are many, many reasons why stores close and I doubt it has anything to do with the recent tax bill. Tax bill on December 22, ok, let’s close 63 stores a couple weeks later -I don’t think so.

I got a chuckle when I realized that two of the Sam's Cubs that are closing are in Washington in the "back yard" of the Costco headquarters. Kind of gutsy to put them there in the first place.
