Absolutely agrees with all the comments but especially like the fact that you can see the different shapes and patterns in the frost. Did you use long exposure as well.
Wonderful hoar frost images. I especially like the 3rd one where you used the fencing as a frame for the tree. We're experiencing hoar frost right now, but it's dull gray, and only freezing on the tips of the tall pine trees.

No, I did not use a long exposure. Panasonic FZ 70 on auto! I don't use that camera much anymore, but it always did a good job for me.
Barbed wire fence is used to contain live stock and keep (some) people out. The woven wire ( with squares ) is used contain smaller live stock like hogs, sheep and goats. Its all very common here in the Midwest.

I wonder what the conditions need to be for "Hoar frost" to form. I have only stumbled across it once. I have gone out looking for since then but did not find any.
