Today's acrylic creation.
Having lots of fun with acrylic fluid pouring. This takes me back to the 70's...no smoking or drinking involved I swear.:-)
koalaroo aaaaha! you did not mention direct injection... seriously, I like these. If duplicated on fabric and sold for T shirts, they would be like hot cakes. As mounted on canvas base, also would be popular.
Years ago ... as you said 1970s.... I recall at carnivals they had a spinning paper and you dribbled dyes from containers.... colorful Rorschach tests.
[Thanks! This is done by adding layers of colours to a cup, then pouring in little swirls onto a canvas with wet white paint on it. Then by tipping, the colours run and make great patterns. I also blew threw a straw in parts. It's good fun.

I've thought about trying this but never got around to it. It would be a great activity to do with grandchildren.
Very fun.

Yes! I can't wait to try it with my grandkids, they will love it. Today is the day with the two youngest, 6 and 8. Going to be messy :-)!
