Here are 3 shots of The surfer in the red wetsuit. I love the wake in the first two photos. He was a pretty good surfer.
I was thinking those were drone shots as well. They must be right under you. Awesome! As was mentioned, nice detail. He'd best be a good surfer. He would be hard to miss in that wet suit. :)

Ron, you must have been a "ripper" yourself! Thanks for the nice words.
Well, I wasn't much of a "ripper" but I did make it into a film once while I was surfing...it was about surfers and surfing here in South Australia...only shown here though...
If it's OK with you Brent, I can post a pic from 1963...
Great captures, Brent. Thanks for sharing.
Neat sequence, Brent. The 45-degree roostertail-off-the-lip in the second shot's a really clean capture. Looks like you were leaning waaay over the rail. cl/
Brent, my favorites are in the order you posted them. Really nice work.

Beautiful shots! Your surfing shots are just amazing! Taken from the pier at Huntington Beach?
Yes phv, these were all taken from the pier at Huntington Beach. It's a great location to shoot from. Almost like a drone view! Thanks for the compliments phv.

You are in your zone when it comes to surf pictures! Great composition with fabulous execution.
Thanks so very much Mike, I really appreciate your positive response to these 3 images. I do feel comfy in the "surfing zone" that's for sure.......it's my favorite subject.

No Plymouth34, these were not drone shots. The pier is a wonderful place to shoot from. Sometimes the surfer will do what's called "shoot the pier" and they really do go underneath me. Only the most skilled surfers do that since the pier columns are covered in barnacales and would ruin your body or board if you hit one.
It's interesting how the good surfers like the flashy wetsuits. Maybe there is a part of them that wants to show off?!?!?!?
Thanks for the kind words about these photos Plymouth34.

Absolutely SX2002, go ahead and post your photos here on this thread. This should be really nostalgic looking mate!

Sometimes I do lean way over the rail......especially when the surfer looks like he is going to shoot the pier. Thanks for the nice words about the photos bylinecl.
