I just received my February 2018 issue of Shutterbug Magazine, and noticed on page 73, that a nice B&W photo of a Chevy Car is listed as a 1954 model. It looks more like an earlier model to me. Am I wrong? Taken by a Graflex 22 camera.
Don't know about the Chevy's year but there's another error in Shutterbug's February 2018 issue. On page 44, the writer Ron Leach wrongly identifies a White Ibis as an Egret. Kinda makes me wonder about the accuracy of all other articles found in Shutterbug.

Billnikon pointed that out on page 4 on this Post. Two errors in one issue of a noted photography publication. Not good.
The photo is in an ad for a film scanning device. The vehicle is labeled as a 1954 Chevrolet photographed in 1958 using Kodak Plus-X 120 with a Graflex 22. UHH member âmas24â is asking whether the year of the Chevy is mis-identified.
I just put these images from google searches together for all to see. 1949 on top 1952 on the bottom

NOT a '53. 49-50 same tail lights, 51-52 tail light fender change from 49-50, 51-52 slight change in grill, 52 got teeth across center bar, 53-54 complete body change from earlier models. 55- another body change etc. Owned 52.

At most this is a 1952. Major body style change in 1953 which carried into 1954.
after a bit of google search. I'll stick my neck out and say it's a '50. The 49 had verticals under the grill's horizontal bar. The 51 had different turn signal lights and the 52 had a one piece windshield

Rich, there's no convincing those who still say it's a '52...you can put up 10,000 pictures of the '49-'50 which it is, and someone will still say it's a '52, it's hopeless!
