Totally agree.... Certainly not 53 or 54. I've attached a pic of a l954.

After looking at the grill. I would now say that it is a 1949 or 50.

The photo is in an ad for a film scanning device. The vehicle is labeled as a 1954 Chevrolet photographed in 1958 using Kodak Plus-X 120 with a Graflex 22. UHH member “mas24” is asking whether the year of the Chevy is mis-identified.
I think it is earlier than 1954 as well. Though it might depend on if it is a Chevy 210 an not a Bel-aire.
Yes, looks like a 1950 Chevy. Did they have more than one model that year? I was born in 1954!
we had one and it was a 1952

Not a 53 or 54. They were almost the same. I had a 54. The photo has to be earlier, 52 or earlier but the 48's from GM were "fastback" so that narrows it down a bit.
it's a '49 or '50 and not all GM's from the forties were fastbacks, many coupes and notchbacks

I just received my February 2018 issue of Shutterbug Magazine, and noticed on page 73, that a nice B&W photo of a Chevy Car is listed as a 1954 model. It looks more like an earlier model to me. Am I wrong? Taken by a Graflex 22 camera.
It's a 1950, in 1953 and 54 Chevys had a more boxy style. I own a 1954.

You are right. That Chevy is a '49 or '50 & I believe it to be a '50.

Ah, what a collection of old timers we UHHers are! "Those were the days, my friends." (84 next month)
It's a '51 -- no doubt about it.
It's a 1950 model! I was 10 when that model came out, and, I just checked the photos of those years. Notice the round parking lights, 51 years, 52, and 53 all had oblong ones with pointed outer ends. Google those years. Also, I work in a business where identifying correct years of autos is critical. Happy New Year, everyone!
