Black On Edge of Paper

I am using an Epson P800 printer. My printed photos have some black ink on the edges. I have set the platen gap to Wide. The older 3880 had the same problem, but it had three settings: Normal, Wide and Wider (or Widest, I don't remember). When I set it to the widest setting that solved the problem. There is no widest setting on the P800. I am using Hahnamuhle paper, which is not very thick. This is my first post and I hope I am doing it correctly. Merry Christmas.

How old is your printer? Can you estimate how many points it’s produced? Have you run it through a cleaning cycle (if there is one)? How long does it sit before uses? Do the prints come out flat or curled? And most important, are you using and have you always used OEM ink?

The OP has recently posted this same ‘issue’ twice. Although the information he/she provided is inadequate, I tried diagnosing the problem in an effort to be helpful. My primary suggestion was identical to that of UHH member “BHC”. Finally, I suggested the OP should consult the fine folks at UHH’s “Printers and Color Printing Forum”, but rather than make that effort to help his/her self, he/she asked the question again. Merry Christmas, OP.

Apropos of this comment, I also have a P800 and there are NO black edges. I always use OEM ink, expensive as it is.
