That's why 300mm lenses exist
Fat lotta good a 300mm lens is gonna do you when one of the little critters falls down your chimney and then runs around your LR knocking everything over!!!
What're ya gonna do, RE - swat it with the lens?

I've had birds, bats, 'possums, mice, and various insects in our house, but never a squirrel

I've had quite a few of 'em through the years ... and even wearing big leather gloves ... they can take quite a large chunk out of you, RE ....
Nowadays, I just grab 'em by the tail, and quick rush to the door with 'em to throw them out before they can bend up and get you in the arm!!!
Bats? ... Nope ... never had any bats IN the house ... but I found one on the overhang over the front steps, one day, whilst clearing off leaves ....
Possums? ... Nope, thank God! ... never had one of them in my house, either. But, when I came back from Canada in 2002 - I found an owl in the office!

Yea, my
bad! I just got so excited, carried away and enthused when someone mentioned car shows I simply forgot the thread title. Is this any better? Maybe in one of the plethora of threads you start, you could do one of cars. That would make my day because I have thousands of images of classics, exotics, hot rods, custom bikes and wrecks!

Oh, right, Michael ... so you like shooting those bushy-tailed terrors, too, do you?
Yes, well, look ... just because AChesley decided to ignore the Topic Post title - didn't make it okay for you to do so, too ...
I shall - however - take your suggestion, under advisement ... although cars have been done many times within the context of past posts I've done ...
You're right! ... There has, as not, yet - been one totally dedicated to car shows .... so, perhaps - next time around ....
