And folks ask why malls are seeing a drop in business!! I would rather shop where I can see a product before I buy it, but with this kind of behavior seen all too often, I'll stick with ebay and Amazon and wait the 2 days for the item to arrive.
Mall cops are a waste of time and $. I'd rather see the malls hire off-duty police so that shoppers can have real protection when they are shopping with family and friends.

Forget the fact that they have the mentality of a gnat. The thing that struck me was the total disregard for the child.

Malls are only as good as the management. Banning mall creepers is a priority in some Georgia suburbs and good on them! Nothing to stop Roy Moore from becoming a mall cop in another state or even a preacher now that he has more free time.

Do we know the city and the name of the mall? Those would be valuable pieces of information for anybody who found themselves near it and were considering a visit.
It might also be interesting to know what day of the week and time of day it was. Around here, the nearest mall to me has a LARGE number of off duty cops (in uniform, armed and with power of arrest) working mall security on Friday evenings and most of the day Saturday. They also forbid unaccompanied teenagers during those periods. (I still avoid the place except during daylight on weekdays.)

Wow. We used to vacation down there, and Edison Mall was a nice family destination at least once if not twice during each trip. Times sure have changed.
