Wow, just wow. I hope I never feel this way. I never understood this, don't you ppl care about those who weren't dealt as good a hand as you? Don't you see ppl who are less fortunate than you, through no fault of their own, and want, no, feel compelled to help them? I'm being very serious, I just can't wrap my head around this.

Proverbs 11:2

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

Heaven forbid we as a country can not find it in our hearts to offer a living wage to these people. Hell just go ahead and send all of the work overseas in the name of profits and just complete the implosion of our working class families. Why do it half assed. These are the same people that send themselves and or their sons and daughters to fight and die for our way of life, but they deserve little in return. Love the logic.

The logic being that the high minimum wage is destroying jobs, can you not see that? What we all also forget is that a higher minimum wage actually increases the cost of living across the board which eventually negates any precieved benefits. I wish I had the answer but as long as there are those that will accept the low wages there is no solution other than workers organizing, unions did that in the 19th Century and it was successful.

While corporate America hauls in unprecedented profits like never before, and this tax bill is going to widen this gap by leaps and bounds. Unions worked when we all acted like Americans. Now with this global economy cheaper labor elsewhere will keep wages low here.

But don't unions push for higher wages and more benefits?

You cannot compare todays global economy with that of 100 years ago. So much has changed. What worked then will not work now.

Republican mantra. Send our poor and our weak to fight the wars that keep those with plenty from having to subject their own from wars. Give nothing in return. One day these same people may just take everything from those that tried to walk on the backs of the downtrodden.

And you have the angst to others Communist.

They certainly do and do not work well with unskilled labor, wish I had an answer. Low wages is a product of to many workers and not enough jobs.

The issue of too many workers will never reverse itself.

Maybe you should consider that some are struggling to feed their families, much less make good investment decisions.

We could get rid of a good number of workers if we tightened our borders and enforced the laws. We really do not need to seal the borders, strict inforcement of the employment laws would turn off the lights in the beacon that draws the undocumented to our shores.
