Elements PSD files

I have done some work on a photo from raw and saved it to a PSD file. From there I have made many changes using layers. Question is does it retain it original quality or does repeated saves in a PSD file reduce the data such as saving a JPEG file?

Is a comparison of degradation in various file formats. PSD is close to TIFF, little or no loss.

PhotoShop Document (PSD) will forever be a viable file, especially in Adobe applications. They are big, but any edit I do in PS is saved back to LR as a PSD. It gives me the ability to employ newer technologies as they come available. I love the format.

Thanks,

Any photo that I do extensive work on it is saved as a PSD. This last one I did a lot of saving and was just concerned that I was losing some data during the save but that is not the case.
