Can anyone recommend a good green screen program; preferably on that works in-camera and not in PP. Thanks.

You are confusing your camera with a computer.

Green screen photos/videos are meant to be processed after shooting. That's the purpose of them. Any processing software will work. Though, I'd recommend one that does layers. The layers makes it a whole lot easier.

So there is no specific software? I would just import the green screen image and the background in separate layers and merge them together?

If you are asking for dedicated software this is something else.

There is one company that produces this type of software. That company has a rep here. I do not recall his name but he may come over here - if he reads UHH on regular basis -.

Thank you. I hope he does. There are several programs on the web, but I was hoping someone would have firsthand experience using one. Meantime, I'll try the layers approach.

The green screen assists on selecting the parts of the image you don't want. Put the background of the scene as the background. Then the layer with the green screen. Using the "magic wand" tool, I think that's what it's called, select the green in the top layer image. That will select all or almost all of that that color. Then mask that area and the background layer will show through.

Personally I would use layers and blend mode(s).

Tutorial Scroll down. While white this also applies for green.

No, you have to learn about masking.

There are lots and lots of companies that make green screen software programs, Westcott is one of them and their program is very good. I think theirs is called Illusions!

I use Darkroom Core
http://www.darkroomsoftware.com/products/workflow-software/features/

Pretty much just drop into a folder and it swaps out the background for quick photobooth applications.
It's far from free but it works well once you figure it out.
We use it once a year, so have to re-learn it.
Looking for something easier...
