To many to list. Was raised in Michigan and did a lot of bird hunting so I'm heavy on shotguns, but my favorite is a Remington 700 in 7mm Magnum for big game and groundhog hunting.

I have several film cameras and I try to keep them operational by running a roll through occasionally. Rough count is seven; the Leica and CLE get the most use. Interestingly enough, I have several digital cameras that were made more recently than serve as door stops or paper weights.

I'm guessing that digital cameras will have shorter effective lives than film cameras did. If your needs changed, you could change the film you used; with digital, what you purchased is all that camera will ever be.

Thanks. That will probably start an argument (including some rants), but I totally agree. Right now, the newest film camera I own is much older than the first digital camera I owned. My oldest film camera is over 100 years old and would be operative were it not for a few pinholes I need to repair in the bellows. I have never had to update the firmware on one of my film cameras or have the sensor cleaned. And, yes, I can change film speed mid-roll. It takes practice and proper notation, but each change costs me less than one frame. And no, I don’t mind waiting a week to see my pictures. Yes, I do appreciate that my processor scans the images; it makes it simpler to pick the right negative to send in for a print.

And, yes, I still like my digital cameras for all the right reasons.

An analogy... when I open the gun safe to arm myself, I choose one of the .40 or .45’s, but I also attach the .38 special Airweight to my ankle. Different tools for different situations!

BHC: You ask about C330 I had on Dec.2,2017 at 02:47:35. Sorry for the delay, the camera was sold to a local person.
How did we go from talking about film camera to handguns? Thanks to everyone for answering to my post "Are film cameras long time forgot". I feel good knowing that people are still using film cameras.

It was an analogy, for crying out loud! If you didn’t like it, ignore it. 🙈

i am always looking to buy cameras in good condition, such as leica, nikon and medium format cameras and lenses. for your c330, $200 does not seem to be an unfair price. especially with the lens. on ebay, it depends on the time of year and exactly how the item is listed. this and other online sites along with commercial dealers can be very unforgiving as far as price is concerned. your friend got a good deal, thanks to you!

if anyone has something to sell such as mentioned above, you can pm me and perhaps we can work something out.

Film and film cameras were mature technologies; they had reached great heights. I don't think they will be discarded.
