I am a photography student. I seem to always be in the student mode. I'm in my retired years, a late bloomer of sorts. I've mainly photographed nature, wildlife, ships, boats, and waterfronts for enjoyment and relaxation. I have photographed family at family events and my courses now are in people portraiture. I have a different feeling about doing people portraiture. It might be that nature, wildlife, and the other things that I have enjoyed photographing don't give me any negative feedback. I push forward to learn and move out of my comfort zone. The attached photo is an example of my nature photography that is so enjoyable to me.

Welcome to UHH ycsmith, glad you joined us. Good first post, good detail. You might want to check the "Store Original" box when posting images. It gives us a much better view. Try your hand at street photography, my personal favorite, no negative feed back there!!
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

I will check the "store original" box from now on. Sorry, I missed that. Thanks for the welcomes!
I'm trying to upload the image again with the "store original" box checked. I hope they don't think I'm trying to spam the site.
Got your post with the "Store Original" box checked. Can see a lot more detail. Very good image YC.
