Welcome. One of the performers was my wife's Professor when she did her MA. He now has MS, and is wheel chair bound, but we got to chat with him for about an hour yesterday. He can still sing, but no longer dance. Life is an interesting thing...
Life can be very interesting and I take one day at a time and never question anything because you'll never get an answer. I always think that there is a reason even if I don't know it at the time.
I hope your wife's Professor has taken this in stride and is enjoying his life. I say that but in all honesty don't know how I would respond to going blind as much as I enjoy my eyesight and what it has meant to me and my travels in life.
Things we or at least me ponder as we age and learn to see life a little differently.
