Help- I find uploading photos from my Sony A7M2 to iPhone/iPad via WiFi to be cumbersome process. PlayMemories talks about scanning the QR Code of the camera, however, I cant seem to find a QR code on the A7M2. Welcome any suggestions to simplify. Thx

Best way I have found, I copy to my HD off the memory card or direct from the camera, then when the phone is attached to the computer, just move them to the picture directory in the phone.
If you need more detail I can can send some screen shots of how it is done.

Yes, that is pretty much how I do it too. I'll move or copy images from my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to my Windows 10 PC or go the other way with say an image originally taken with my DSLR, processed on the PC and then copied to my SmartPhone. Wow, do DSLR images look sharp on a phone! I'll usually do this with a cable, though BlueTooth is available as well. I've tried it with WiFi over my home network and I could not get that to work either. It all does get glitchy at times. Especially right after a update to either Windows or Android. They'll not want to easily talk for a bit. Odd really. I'm sure others have a handle on this better than I do. I just like working Photoshop magic on some of my better Cell shots!

Typically, encrypted WIFI will be slower than USB cable or card (sending encryption, receiving decryption). If I have many to move from one computer to another, I copy them to a card and sneaker-net them to the other computer- much faster. I did 200 plus 20meg images over encrypted WIFI one time to another computer and it took over an hour.
I transfer to my phone via USB cable.

I use "Imazing" http://imazing.com to move files/photos to/from my Mac & iPhone.
With "Imazing" you have direct access to many apps and their data, assuming the app's developer permits "file sharing".
For details, see: http://imazing.com/guides/how-to-transfer-photos-from-mac-or-pc-computer-to-iphone

Did you install the Smart Remote Control app on your camera?

If not, you can download it here:

https://www.playmemoriescameraapps.com/portal/

This video should be helpful.

If your phone is NFC capable, it's even easier - you just touch the back of the phone to the NFC logo on your camera - lets you connect for file transfer or remote control operation of the camera.

I use this "Swiss Army card reader" for my Android phone and tablet. It can read or write a SD or microSD card to a USB or microUSB port. It's only $7 and has been very handy. I keep one in my camera bag. Similar devices for iPhone/iPad are available.

What I typically do is to download my photos into my computer after which I will only send a couple of my favorites to myself via my e-mail which I have on my iPhone and iPad which allows me to save them there. Again I only do this with a couple of my photos and the balance that I choose to keep stay on my computer.
