I can tell from numerous posts that snowfall in the south is intriguing and special. However, be careful what you wish for. It is beautiful but entails a lot of work to get along. Hope you all enjoy yours while you have it.
We got a couple of inches of global warming overnight in Houston. This was the earliest I've ever seen it here and it's not surprising as the sun is sleeping and going towards its minimum as SC24 ends in a few years.

I guess it pays to carry a snow-thrower in the bed when you are driving on a snowmobile trail :)

That is correct. That is my driveway. One has to keep after it or you are on for a pia. It is fine, just need to pay attention and keep after it.
Waiting on the snow now, was supposed to startt at 3AM, hope we don't get much, don't feel like shoveling!

At least you Americans cope with it. One flake lands in the UK, the roads come to a standstill and all the schools shut down !
It started here, about an hour or so ago!! Drat!
I like Frosty. It's the cold I don't like
In Dallas they have learned how to cope with snow. If flurries are in the forecast, many schools shut down before a snowflake even hits. Those of us who aren't required to be anywhere don't go anywhere when it actually does, because, for one thing, most of the traffic lights will be out, forget about the fact that nobody else knows how to drive in the stuff!!!
