if you are stuck with it , remove the glass [ hammer or ???? ]use the body as a spacer to get close up shots with another lens .
It's going back. I don't mind paying return shipping, if he will refund what I originally paid for shipping. Truth is, the lens only cost $18, so it's not the end of the world either way.

Nope, Etsy. I assumed that was why it was so cheap - you don't come across much camera equipment there.

I have purchased several lenses at eBay. One of them was clouded when it arrived. I sent a picture of what I was seeing; the seller apologized and returned my money.
