I recently purchased the Nikon D750 and want to add the 24-70 F2.8 lens. The Sigma version is much cheaper then the Nikon but is it the same quality? Thanks for your help.

CameraDecision.com does side by side camera or lens comparisons. When you compare two lenses you get to specify which camera (from a limited database) the lens will be used on. If your camera is not in their lens testing database, try choosing a similar camera model instead. Their camera comparisons are detailed and very helpful.

Be sure you are comparing FX to FX lens.

Welcome to UHH. My biased view is go NIKON. Nikon for quality and compatibility.

I don't have either lens. Check the Tamron 24-70 2.8 G2, the AF is fast with sharp photos.

You might also check DXOMark lens comparisons if they have the two listed: https://www.dxomark.com/Lenses/Ratings

Nikon has 3 versions of that lens, Sigma and Tamron each have two. The latest version from all 3 manufacturers are VERY comparable to each other. On my Nikon D850 the difference in sharpness between the 3 is virtually indiscernable. I personally favor the color rendition of the Tamron just a little bit.
Of the older versions the first generation of the Sigma cannot hold a candle to the others.

I've used the Tamron 24-70 first VC version on my D750, currently use the sigma 24-70 Art on it, but have never used any of the Nikons so I can't speak to them. Most reviews I've read agree with MT Shooters comment,
with most comparing the new Tamron to the new Sigma giving the edge to the Tamron. I've been very pleased with my results from the new Sigma, pre-ordered it when it was first announced. The link below is a link to a post I made using the new Sigma Art. I would suggest you rent the lenses you're thinking about and see which you prefer.

THIS IS OFF TOPIC. Please forgive. For the money please look at the new Tamron as well as the Tokina versions. Between the Sigma and the Nikon, choose the Nikon. The Tamron is the best of the bunch in my opinion and I am not alone in that assessment. Don't take my word. Read some reviews. And it's half the price of the Nikon.

I’d love the new Nikon 70-200 but $2900... First order though the 24-70 and because the Tamron is good and a savings most likely I’d go with Tamron for the Holy Trinity
