I'm not familiar with Alienskin and started to look at it to see what it provides. I watched the video at the link below and it looks to be an alternative to LR and photoshop as it does layers as well. I own On1 and am working with it but I believe Alienskin will give me better/different filters. So I'm wanting some feedback from anyone who is using this software and how to you like it compared to LR and photoshop. It also looks to be faster and offer a different (better?) process to LR.
I have been using LR6 for several years and was interested in what Alienskin would add when editing portraits.

I recently downloaded a trial version of AlienSkin Exposure X3. Was disappointed at its lack of any cataloging facility - a deal breaker for me. I have upgraded to On1 2018 and have kept it in the hope they will add cataloging in the near future. As a side note, after upgrading my MacBook Pro operating system to the latest High Sierra, I recently used On1 to open, edit and carefully export (I thought) a group of six photos. Can’t find the photos anywhere on my MacBook. Don’t know whether to put it down to ‘pilot error’, an On1 glitch, or a glitch involving On1 and High Sierra.

On1 has a lot of glitches and shouldn't have been released with so many. That's why I'm looking at Alienskin. The video in the link states no cataloging is supposed to be a plus for speed purposes I thought.
Looked like X2 so did not buy. X2 is a great adjustment sometimes.
