Britain thinks CBD oil is medicine, the U.S. still groups it with heroin.....
If that was true. Why is it not addictive.

Neither cannabis (low CBD content) nor CBD oil (hemp plant) is addictive.
Chemicals are made scheduled drugs in the US for a variety of reasons, most having to do with health hazards or lack of proven benefit. The word proven is key, meaning there is insufficient evidence. That article reeks of politics and fanboy boosterism. Look, medical research does recognize the benefit of some of the compounds in cannabis, such as cannabadiol, and it looks like that, among others, will likely find its way into the pharmacopeia. THC is probably not therapeutic, and is a problem in some ways.
Your headline is disingenuous and misleading, and your statement that those compounds are not addictive is incorrect.

I see Hearst is still alive and well and the dim bulbs in congress still follow his thinking or the lack of it
The TRUTH is disingenuous now? Marijuana and heroin ARE both classified as Schedule 1 drugs. There is absolutely NOTHING disingenuous about stating that.
Britain DOES classify CBD as a medicine. There is absolutely NOTHING disingenuous about stating that.
Your statement "THC is probably not therapeutic" is proven to be unadulterated made-up BS by the following:
The FDA has approved TWO drugs dronabinol and nabilone, based on THC, but ONLY in pill form so that the pharmaceutical industry can charge you/your insurance a FORTUNE for them. The United Kingdom, Canada, and several European countries have approved nabiximols, a mouth spray containing THC and CBD. It treats muscle control problems caused by MS, but it isn't FDA-approved.
The ONLY reason it's not approved outright by the FDA is because it FIXES problems. There is no future in a FIXED patient, only in a patient that you string along for DECADES with palliative relief and ever-increasing costs.
NOTHING from the marijuana plant (hemp) is physically addicting, NOTHING.
As your statement "THC is probably not therapeutic" has been proven to be made-up BS, we can conclude that your entire diatribe is similarly made-up BS.
Cannabis is certainly a less dangerous drug than alcohol or tobacco, which are both addictive. It's ridiculous that the federal government still considers it a schedule 1 drug.

I have tried to find CDB or CBD oil on the DEA list of Schedule 1 drugs and it is not there. It is widely available online and throughout the US.
As for the comment about marijuana/THC probably not being therapeutic: that is the comment from someone with no experience. I have certified over 300 patients in Maine for the use of medical marijuana. Most were seeking help for chronic pain or PTSD. The average age of my pain patients was 55. Medical marijuana provides amazing benefit for these patients, many of whom have gotten off of their opioids or PTSD medications and are doing better than ever before. I have been very impressed at how helpful this plant medicine can be. Even several patients with OCD, which is very difficult to treat, had great improvement with medical marijuana.

I once bought some CBD that had THC in it. It gave me a 'buzz' and spoiled the whole day for me. Never again.
How did it spoil your day. Lol
How did. A buzzz accomplish that.
