Why not? I just need to smile while reading discussions like this. I don't read the Bible even though someone keeps sticking it in the end table next to the bed of every motel I've ever been in. My thought is that if someone is gay it is because that is the way God made them, and God don't make junk. Nothing wrong with being the way God made you. No sin involved. Nothing about "He was an unrepentant homosexual and unless I missed something, he died that way also which means he's reaping the just reward for his sin."
Good grief! Give me a break. I've got Christmas lights to untangle so I can't continue to sit in front of this computer and chat with folks. I'm going outside to enjoy the day. My neighbor said she might be able to give me some help since I don't do ladders anymore. She is a lesbian so I can focus on the Christmas lights completely..... unless...

Heard this from a child one time long ago .... "God don't make junk".

He has not realized that he knew us before we were born.

I was trying to figure out why you think it was relevant...that's all.

So...you don't read the bible but you quote it and make statements about it as if you know what it says?

That doesn't make much sense; if you want to be taken seriously that is. I certainly wouldn't presume to make insightful comments about "War and peace" never having read it.

Well, that would be God's prerogative wouldn't it? it's His book...He says differently.

Oh man that's bad but sadly, his eternal destiny isn't good. He was an unrepentant homosexual and unless I missed something, he died that way also which means he's reaping the just reward for his sin.

That is sadder than anything, my heart bleeds for him.

What heart?

Actually, I find it interesting that you quote a book that you think is not true, but that's another conversation.

The text actually reads:
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace lamong those with whom he is pleased!”
Luke 2:14.

Referring to his elect...not everyone.

God has a LOT to say about homosexuals; he calls them to repentance. He says that they are currently under His wrath as all folks unless they are born again.

But thanks for giving me another opportunity to quote God's word..that's great.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim Nabors on dozens of occasions in the 80's and 90's when he toured each season with his one man show. I was the musical contractor for his Michigan performances and during those years had many conversations with him. He was as down to earth, warm, and personable as was portrayed by his characters. I was sad to see the news. RIP, Jim.

I once was on assignment on a Sunday afternoon, photographing two male models playing roles of executive office types walking in a wooded area. We were near the end of the shoot, when this gentlemen walked along the path,--my thoughts were-- that guy looks like Jim Nabors. One of the models then announced that it had to be, and it was! We stopped the shoot and chatted a bit. He was singing at a wedding in a high end hotel a short distance away. He invited us in for a drink, but I had to decline. However, regardless of the way he was born, he seemed like a great guy and certainly a good actor and singer, but most of all he didn't lie about it. RIP

I'm 80 and gay and my partner and I have been together for 47 years and were married as soon as it was legal. I really don't need anyone giving me advice about their interpretation of what the Bible says. Considering the shape our world is in, I doubt that God gives a **** about who each of us loves. And anyway, isn't this site supposed to be about photography?

That makes me sad for you. I'll pray that your eyes are opened. The bible says that those who practice and/or approve of such are doomed to Hell unless they repent and believe the gospel, I pray that you do before it's too late.

But I'll bet you are about to give me your advice about it....

And you did.

I'll let God answer your question about what He thinks of your sin:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.

So they are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.”
(Romans 1:18–25 ESV)
