Hello! I've joined the forum to try to learn how to make better photos with my Canon EOS t6. It has an 18mp sensor and I got two kit lenses with it. The 18 to 55mm and the 55 to 250mm zoom lenses.
I am also an artist and a goal is to take good reference photos for my paintings. As such, I want good color and enough detail to be able to zoom in to get a good crop. I do mostly landscapes and portraits.
I'm finding that getting good, accurate photos isn't as easy as it looks!

Welcome,
I am relatively new as well and have as yet to post any work. What I am doing at this time is taking my first photo in auto. If I fail in manual I still might have a quality photo. My post processing skills are non existent.
My method is likely amateurish but hey that’s how it be.
Again welcome. There are many helpful photographers here in uhh. You will discover much here.
