I introduced myself a little while back my name is Karen Minard. I am posting in this spot again because I have been gone all this time for an unfortunate reason. When you look at my photo you will understand why. When you get hit from behind at 50 miles an hour this is what happens to the guys car that hit me not to mention completely totaled the truck I was in. While he reached down to his floor to get the cell phone he dropped he missed recognizing that traffic was stopped at a light. I took this photo with my iPhone 7 Plus before I was taken to the hospital.

That is exactly what the policeman told me, in fact he said had I been in my Wrangler two door Jeep I would’ve been in very serious trouble.

Glad to see you're alright. Working in a body shop this is all to familiar a sight and cause for accidents. Your truck is totaled and so is his car by looking at it. Air bags probably blew and that will pretty much seal his deal. Hope he has insurance.

Unfortunately accidents happen. Many persons, as you know are quite irresponsible while driving and many more do not even care to obey traffic laws. In Miami traffic can be a nightmare, specially now near Christmas.
You are very lucky, it could have been worse. God has given you another chance and you should be thankful.

If he did retrieve his phone, he would have started texting, and the same thing would have happened.

Welcome back, I know the feeling as a similar event happen to me and my wife.
Luckily we were in a "no death car" as associated with Audi and Volvo by the insurance companies. We were at 55mph when another didn't look left at an intersection and our noses met in the intersection. My wife still has after effects of the accident and we're going to court next May.
