No PP, what would you do better ? I just thought the statue could stand on it's own with the help of the store front lites.
I liked the true street shot, including 14th st sign. Do you?

I wouldn't have seen the statue if you hadn't mentioned it.

Please click on "store original" when asking for C&C

At a minimum, needs cropping and lightening.

It is very dark. Even in the orginal you really don't see the statue unless you are looking for it.

You might try a higher iso, a lower f and a slower shutter or any combination of them.

I will go and do exactly that, I just thought by itself it was real "street ". I guess you had to be there. [ hee-hee] Thanks for input.

Actually that was the point, dark with statue standing out in middle of building without it being under special lighting. Guess not. I guess you had to be there. Plus I needed to adjust camera to better take what I wanted. Still learning, Thanks for looking and input.

Adjusting the brightness helps bring it out more.

Where would you crop it.? I wanted the whole scene, apt. building, store fronts etc, with statue being in such unusual place.

Place the statue in the upper third cross-hair. Get rid of most of the windows above and to the left of the statue. Try to keep the context of the neon at the bottom of the photo and the statue. That will preserve your irony.
