Is this what wdross is talking about?
Yes except with two very distinct "diamond" flares. It has only happened once for me. Your "diamond" ring is exceptionally good.
I suggest you retake the photo and don't have your eyes crossed this time. LOL.

Sorry, but no mountain.
I think I confused you. The mountain I was referring to only occurs during an eclipse but produces the same effect as you see in your photograph. If you look both left and right of the slit that the sun shines through, there are several vertical clouds that go between, or partially between, the slit of the upper and lower clouds. It only takes one of those, solid or semi solid, to creat a brightness differential on both sides of it to create the double flare you see. Since the exposure is for the clouds and sunset and not an exposure of the sun itself, the overexposed "halfs" of the sun will creat the flare while bleeding into the surounding area obscuring whatever cloud that created the double flare.
Looking at the wet sand, I clearly see the reflection of 4 suns. The question isn't why are there 2, it's why are there 4 suns.

Try something original.
Jim Bob, pay attention to what you are replying to, I was responding to another statement that Tatooine had two moons, but not two suns. And the scene of Luke against the double sunset is one frequently used in articles about the first Star Wars movie released. In fact the article I googled to check the spelling of Tatooine had that picture at the top.

This is a different picture from the same batch shot at ISO 400, f22, 1/13 of a second and at 105 mm with a Canon 80D and Canon 24 - 105 L I lens.
