Did you ever wonder why when you photograph a sunrise all you get usually is a lot of light and maybe the clouds to give it shape. But when you picture a sunset you can usually see the solar shape even within the clouds.

Never really thought about it but you are correct. From the east coast there is no land mass that might cause additional pollution as it could in a sunset. I wonder if this is reversed on the west coast.

The wife and I usually make a couple trips to the outer banks every year and we were thinking about going a little farther down the coast next year to Topsail island.
