D7100/Tamron 180mm Macro.

This is the first time I have seen one of these. I ID'd it with the help of Google. According to Google, it is a Resin Bee (in the Megachile family) & is commonly called an Aussie Bee. It is harmless & does not swarm. It builds its 'nests' in holes/hollows in timber or dead trees. It is about the same size as a common honey bee. Downloading is recommended.
