It might seem like a good idea, but the purpose of the mail carrier is to deliver the mail, not to judge it. I almost threw away two pieces of junk mail from Verizon. Out of curiosity, I opened one. It contained a check for overcharging on taxes. The second piece of mail contained another check. I bet Verizon intentionally made them look like junk mail, hoping people would just throw them away.
Rebate checks also are delivered as disguised junk mail.
