Hi everyone,
This may seem minor, but for me it isn't. I have an iMac 28", so I can put Outlook on the left of the screen, and Chrome on the right. It works perfectly, at least until Adorama (or Adorama & Google) began automatically slapping a 1"x4" ad in the upper right of my screen, hence covering the corner of Chrome. You know, that's where you can click on the "x" to open another tab. But Adorama now covers that up.
I can remove it but clicking on "Close", but I'll have to do it again the next day, and then the day after that. I like the Adorama company, but I don't appreciate them slapping their ad, unrequested by me, onto my screen every day. Am I the only one seeing this daily nuisance?

Those ads come from many many sources besides Adorama. And they can be eliminated.
Fortunately, I don't see any of those sorts of things, including ads on this site. Works on IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

Billnikon, Care to share how they can be eliminated, permanently? Clicking "Close" every day is not the solution. I'm open to a better way.

I use Firefox and have installed "Blur". It eliminates most ads. I have no idea if you can add it to Chrome.
Thanks for the idea in Firefox. I used to use that browser, but most of my students use Chrome, and I like to know what features they use. BUT, if anyone who is using Chrome, has an idea to stop these slap-overs, I'm all ears.

I'm so sorry to see this; the solution to removing it is here:

Thank you Helen,
I've clicked on the link, and concerned by all the 'resets' the instructions call for. I'm also suspicious why Adorama is the ONLY slap over ad that I received.

I'm sorry; I don't know enough about these marketing tools. But there is a connection with websites you've visited. I'd like to recommend that you also click here:
https://emailprivacy.criteo.com/us/opt-out.html and enter your email address.
I used it myself (following a recommendation from a colleague), to stop unwanted ads and it definitely cut back on them.
I suppose it would be unrealistic for you to ask your company to stop using this type of advertisement?

It isn't anything that Adorama controls.
If you get pop-ups on all the sites you visit, you should run a malware scan, as you may have adware on your computer. Adware is a form of virus that generates ads on your computer. Most major antivirus programs, such as McAfee and Norton offer some form of adware protection.
However, for best results, you should download and run a dedicated adware scanner such as 'Adware Cleaner' as the programs are specifically designed to eliminate the effects of adware.
With all due respect, you are missing a very important point. I do not get pop-ups on all the sites I visit. And I do visit many sites as I search for particular items to purchase. As a physics teacher I search many sites for information for my students. I receive one and only one pop-up, and it's from your company. Adaroma. Hence, they are triggered by your company.
One thing I will not do is download more software, especially to search for a problem that does not exist. The Adaroma pop-ups (and I'm looking at one that came this morning) is coming ONLY FROM ADAROMA. I cannot make my point clearer.
Please stop this practice, stop this practice from your company, ADAROMA.

I'm truly sorry, but it is related to the use of this retargeting tool:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criteo. Different businesses use different tools, that react at different times in different ways. I don't disagree with you that Criteo is annoying and intrusive, and I've raised this with the Marketing Team previously. But it's at the core of their marketing strategy.
The way to remove it is to use this:
https://emailprivacy.criteo.com/us/opt-out.html
Thank you for informing your Marketing Team ways in which they just might lose customers, from intrusions such as these. Thank you.
