Linda, this is a beautiful image, and made even more so by adding the frame. The first I'd ever heard of water surface tension was from you. I must have slept through water surface tension day in biology.

LOL, I think most of my nature education came from tv shows

Thank you for your lovely comments, Donna. Much appreciated!

A genuine concept beautifully presented. I knew a photographer on an other site that specialized in water striders and such.

Some of you saw this in my June FYC topic. The adjustments I made to the image since then were to rotate 90 degrees and add a white border so the outer dimensions would fit an 8x12 frame. Also, this version might have a bit more sharpening and brightening.

I've been looking for a similar photo op ever since, but have only seen small leaves in not quite the right light/shadow - except for the water striders

Feedback/critique welcomed!

Beautiful, Linda!
I have never thought to look for flotsam but will be sure to do so now.

Thank you kindly! I did a couple of series of water striders in the spring, but the speed of the striders and the low light hindered the result. Great fun, though.
