I thought I was the only one who uses that flow diagram when making photography purchases. Works every time.

I like it. It avoids the question 'Do you have the money?'

Yep! That's how I decide to buy things I probably shouldn't buy. I do the research, look for a credit card with room, and click, "Buy."
Here's a great free program for making a chart like that. It can be challenging to get the right shapes and fit everything onto the page. I made one about putting things away. I would pick up an item and then go through the chart to decide where it should go. I've never used the chart for that purpose, but it was fun making it.

I have a much simpler system. I ask the better half, "I am going to get this lens", and she says, OK.
Love it. Fuel your passion ... buy it!
MOST EXCELLENT! LOL!!
With your permission I'm going to steal this, and, where/when necessarey change the title to anyone of the following:
DSLRs; Photography GAS attacks; Motorcycles; HAM radio gear; power or sail boats; sports cars; gardening equipment; electronics ..... SOMEBODY STOP ME!
All this and more.... before the"Boss" shreads that piece of paper (thank God for the copy machine)!!

Does this also work for expensive camera bodies?
