I was in the Mohican State Park in Ohio last week waiting on the sun to come up.
This sapling was growing out of the bank of the Clear Fork River.
Canon 7D mkii Sigma 17-35 @f5, 125th sec and used the camera flash.
I liked this because the river rocks in the river behind it looks like they're floating..

For cute it may be this one.
Group photo excursion to Newcatle botanical gardens, NSW, Australia.
I was using a Canon 100-400 lens (with a monopod) to just reach in and grab things like flowers & dragonflies.
The kangaroo just hopped onto the path and took a look at me and then hopped off (it is a wild animal). Just had a few sconds for a few shots.
Fair bit of PPing to bring out the details from the shaddows.

A bit out of the box here altho there is a story....

I call this 120 leaves on leaves, on which on the leaves are written the history of my life, all positive regardless. I did this project because my stories are on my computer and will be flushed when I get flushed and I wanted them to live on just a bit more so as to share my time here on earth with others.

Great idea.

Gee that is nice. My night shots are in Bulb Mode. What is cool in this mode is that you can take as many as you want, changing your exposition time, then play on Photomatix. I have tried with five shots. Time consuming but better than watching a soap on TV

I used to regularly do 5 shots in daylight, but I gave up on 5 at night because of how long the shutter stayed open on the brighter exposures. Three seemed to be enough - and there was less ghosting. I would still do 5 during the day with a tripod, but with handheld, three is often too much!

I've never had much success with fireworks! These are wonderful! Great shots, Pat.

Thank you. Unfortunately, not that many opportunities to practice them.
