Nice photo. Nice to hear it is a JPEG out of the camera. I have had some good success with JPEG shots as well. I shoot JPEG and RAW, 2 cards, in the camera. I check the JPEG files first for keepers.

Yes! Two cards are nice. I archive the Raw and go through the Jpegs. Someday I will go back and work the real keepers...soon as I get smart and that could well take a while!

With all this talk about SOC and raw vs jpeg, are we not forgetting that if it is a jpeg, the camera has done the processing for you. It has applied whatever pp enhancements the camera designer has put in the camera software. This takes nothing away from the fact that it is a lovely photo and has obviously been enjoyed by many (including myself).

Thank you for your comment. I suspect that many of us do not refer to a jpeg as being pp'd if we did not modify it with software. Too bad we can't view an unaltered raw file and codec is beyond my thoughts!

I am doing this mostly to refute the idea that you can not/should not post process a JPEG !

LOL! I was hoping you'd drop in! You gave more of the fall flavor that was present.

How are the eagles doing and your best guess on the eggs?
