Oak Creek as most never have seen it.
1. Mayhew's Lodge at the entrance to West Fork just before the forest service burned it down.
2. Mayhew's ruins.
3. The cold storage cave at Mayhew's Lodge.
4. The remains of the irrigation aqueduct leading to Mayhew's from the creek.
5. Water supply to an old 1800"s homestead.
6. Bridge to Cave Springs Campground.

I've seen the ruins several times, but had never seen the original building. Nice.

It was incredible. I went inside many a time as well as the immaculate grounds, pool and other buildings. This and several other incredible lodges were destroyed including the beautiful lodge where Zane Grey wrote call of the canyon. Spent a lot of time there every summer as our summer home was near it.

You need to check your white balance.

You have a point there. Maybe its time to try another film?
Your tint is too blue.

There are hundreds of fascinating places in the Canyon off the beaten path of tourist traps and crowds. Wonderful caves with hieroglyphs hidden trails to incredible ruins and old 1920s cars and graffiti from the same period up beautiful side canyons. Photo ops that are truly unique that are different from usual Sedona fare over and over again.
