Guy Fawks Day? (Spelling may be off.)
NICE! My first attempt at fireworks was this past summer and I surprised myself by doing pretty well. My second and third tries were busts, though. Wish we had more opportunities to practice. I love your shots!
Very well done!! Pick one for your Christmas Card this year?? Can we ask what camera you used?
Thanks for the feedback ppl, i wish there were more fireworks displays to practice too, i have 3 canon’s. eos 500d 650d & 7d mkii, i used the 500d for these shots

Not by much - Guy Fawkes - often said to be the last person to enter Parliament with honest intentions. See wikipedia link or the recent BBC 3 parter entitled GUNPOWDER.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_FawkesAs kids, we made a Guy (shirt trousers old footwear and a head) and burned him on the bonfire on 5th November each year. Standard food would be taters in the mould cooked in the embers and served with more butter than was good for us. In those dim and distant days, most people went to work on the bus and would take an evening paper so we would tout for change at the bus stop or outside the newsagent for odd change which would buy the fireworks. These days few people go to work on the bus, less take an evening paper, and health and safety have all but stopped domestic displays. And kids prefer sweets for no effort expended so Halloween is a growing concern.
Some places, like Lewes in Sussex, still go to town with an enormous Guy in the form of an effigy of an unliked person (Donald Trump was burnt recently, I believe) and the Guy is paraded through the town before being burnt at the stake! If you ever visit the U.K. around November make sure you visit Lewes.
The event the O.P. went to would most likely have been professionally run as a charitable fund raiser, rather than a back garden affair.
Great shots by the way (almost forgot to put that in).
