I noticed that changing the aperture also effects the light quality of the picture without changing the EV settings. I also noticed that the higher the F number, the greater the need for a tripod. (I am sure most of you know this, so please bear with me as this is new to me; and I need to remember this when I am out shooting and away from my computer where I can compare the settings better.) It seems to me the higher F number also produces more detail in flowers even though there is less bokeh in the background.
I am using a D3100 Nikon with a 55-300mm lens with VR, AF. My ISO is at 100, EV at 0.00 through out. I noticed at the lowest F value 4.8, I had a vignette effect that wasn't present in F6.3, so I added it too.
