I´ve just finished reading Steve Perry´s book, Secrets To The Nikon Autofocus System, and I´d like to share here my oppinion about it.

It is very well written, easy to read and ranges from very easy to in-depth Nikon´s autofocus system analysis. More than that, it describes how it is built (in practical way), the overall intelligence behind it, main features and possible problems and some ways to improve focusing via better system use and smart techniques.

Despite being mainly a wildlife and birding photographer his advices can be used in general.

I recommend his book.

I would love to have this book, but it is only available in electronic format and I'd strongly prefer an actual book rather than referring to an electronic device. Printing it myself looks like it would cost a whole laser cartridge plus paper plus binding. Pity.

Pay to get it printed. Example: FedEx Office and others will print from the cloud, USB flash drives, etc.

This is what I consider to be the "Bible" on this subject. Well written, accurate and inexpensive. I can't say enough positive about Steve!

Steve Perry is a super Nikon guy and has a great web site. Check out his other e books, especially the wildlife photography book.

I only just downloaded this book, so can't say to much right now. I've read a couple of sections and already learned stuff I didn't know before. Looks like this is going to be a great read. Thanks Steve for making this available to us.

Excellent book. I’m not finished reading it all but have started using BBF with great results.

I agree, completely. There is a wealth of information - many things not covered in the manual (not a surprise) and in a book I purchased for my specific Nikon. It is an excellent book, reasonably priced and I recommend it highly.

I love it: "No one is unanimous." I might make that my new signature line. I'm guessing we're all bipolar.

Just downloaded the update. Free to purchasers of the first addition. Most of the update relates to Nikon D850, so most may not need it.

Go to Backcountrygallery.com Then go to the "contact" heading. Instructions are there how to re-download your e book. That should resolve your problem of not receiving your e book.

After reading this book I haven't taken a badly focused photo. Steve knows the Nikon AF system and explains it well.
