Excellent! I see no gloom and I'm not expecting a banjo around the bend. My first thought was that it reminds me of a very understated Thomas Kincaid painting (I have to qualify that I mean this as praise, not an insult, as I know lots of people do not like his work). Compelling!

people said how they would like to walk this trail, so I thought I would have a couple of girls walk it, and possibly have them tell us where it leads to!!

Nice photo!

Your photo generated a lot of responses, and I think it's because, as one viewer said, you caught these young ladies stepping onto the trail. It's a great perspective. A lot of us would've snapped the shot with the hikers well down the trail, but you caught them as incomplete figures who hadn't yet become part of the scene. Yours is truly a unique perspective. This photo inspires me.

I'm quoting my own reply but I realized I wasn't done!--I have visited UHH for several years now and your photo really stands out for me. My goal with my own photography is to invite the viewer to step into the picture, and you really achieved this. I guess it would help if I included people in my photos...but I often see people in photos on this site and they don't necessarily draw me in.
