A lot of these are from the top of ski mountains in pre-dawn or early AM. We would go to the mountain check our packs and then ski the day. Just before the last run get our packs and ski down the back side, Build a lean-to break out the sleeping bags survival rats have a small fire and some single malt. Go to sleep. Get up and there was all this beautiful "corduroy" There is nothing like "first tracks" ski down around first light. Wait for the lodge to open get a fast breakfast buy our new lift tickets and be first in line when the lifts started. More first tracks.
We don't do that anymore. We are all in our mid 70's. We still ski but now with our grandchildren. One day a week is ours. Just the guys. First tracks are not in the cards Getting up early for the first ride up is not so much a priority now.
Beautiful shots and stories and memories to go along with them!
Nice shots. A bit grainy on the first two and I like the last one the best.

Thank you. I used my cell phone. In fact, all of these are taken with my cell. I don't think it was an Apple
I was expecting to see pictures of old cell phones :-)
Very, very nice photos! The part that sounds best to me is the single malt. :-)
