Rain Protection for your camera

I am looking for camera rain protection that I saw yesterday while attending a birding presentation. It was a SLEEK, possibly neoprene, Custom Fitted protection that covered the camera as well as the extended viewer and allowed mounting on a tripod. Not a "one size fits all" rain sleeve- like I had that would not have provided protection in yesterdays driving, all day, downpour. (I didn't even bring my camera out from under my rain poncho). His camera was covered to the point where I couldn't see which camera/which lens he was using. And there was another attendee that had the same protection.

I googled it but only found variations of rain sleeves. Anyone have any ideas?

You may be thinking- why didn't you ask him what he was using and where he got it yesterday?? I intended to but then circumstances got in the way.

Suntouched, Vortex, Ruggard, and Peak all make rain covering that seem to match your description.

No Bob, don't think so. Not seeing the sleek, custom look- all just variations of rain sleeves. Thanks.

Vortex Storm Jacket or Peak Design Shell make full camera rain covers that may match, do a search and see what comes up. B&H, Amazon and other major stores have numerous options. I used a neoprene Lens Coat but it doesn't cover the camera, provides more protection from scuffs & scratches.

Did it by chance look like this. You can select what color/pattern you would like.

I looked at your suggestions- not seeing the sleek custom fitted look that fit over the camera, lens and extended viewer. Thanks.

nope- not a floppy rain sleeve- thanks. More like the fitted Lens Coat lens covering but covered the camera as well.

Hi!

Do you mean something like this: https://www.amazon.com/CEARI-Silicone-Protective-Digital-MicroFiber/dp/B0172W0BIE/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1508679341&sr=8-9&keywords=camera+protective+skin

My friend has this for his Canon 5D Mark 3 in red but it still has cutouts for the shutter release and other controls which would probably let in water but pads against falls and knocks. Cheers. Ed

well yes and no. Yes for the sleek look, no for the cutouts and branding. What I saw fit the camera and lens together and the extended viewer- looked like one fitted piece. And it did provide excellent protection from the rain. The owner didn't appear to be worried about his camera in the rain at all. Thanks

. I recently improvised: cut a small x in a he bottom of a ziplock bag Stuck the 18-55 (Fuji) through the hole, reinstalled the hood and stuck my hand through the zip lock top part. A Rube Goldberg solution.
