My little generic remotes are attached to each of my camera straps. So that way I always have one in a pinch. I use a generic wire release most of the time.

I use the little Vivitar. Works like a charm and is very inexpensive. Check with Cameta Camera.

I just got a Flashpoint Wireless Wave Commander Remote Shutter Release- Nikon MC-DC2 Acc Port from Adorama for 49.95. It is a 2.4 ghz that can be programmed. Up to 99 shots at a time. Vello for a Nikon is more expensive. Just saying.
