Thanks James I always look forward to your work.
Looks like that would have been a wonderful night to have been there.
I saw one of those tribute bands in NH - very entertaining.
they may be gone but their music will live forever.

We'll never hear or see the Fab Four live together ever again...but at least we have Tribute Bands to fill the void. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah......Yeahhhh!
The Mersey Beatles from Liverpool performed in Nashville tonight. Took me back many years...
She was just 17, you know what I mean? Beatles songs will be played for generations. They just don't write them better.
Very good shot James, sorry I was never into the Beatles.
Wow! Great photo with difficult lighting conditions (at least for my abilities).
Very nice, James. They even got the instruments right.

Hard to believe it’s been over 50 years.

Absolutely. There is something missing in todays music. Abbey Road was one of their best albums.
I just recently saw Australian Pink Floyd in concert. They are almost better than the original group.
Thanks again Everyone. This tribute band is from Liverpool and was the house band at the Cavern Club for many years...so they have to be good. It was a two hour show. They played the entire Sergent Peppers Album, and then followed that with the much of the early Beatles. A couple times, they sounded so good, it brought tears of happiness to these old eyes. I'd advise any of you to seek out a good Beatles tribute band while you can. Even those will be gone someday. You'll have a blast.

I've never seen a tribute band that was as good as the original. Being a huge Beatles fan back in the day I'm probably too critical and should just try to enjoy but I can't get past that they aren't the original. Sir Paul played in Des Moines a few months ago and was one of the best shows I've ever seen but even he sounded just a bit tired, but then again he's in his mid 70's so he has a good excuse. Good photo though.

Another great Beatles cover band is 1964 The Tribute. I saw them about ten years ago at my kids college and I was spellbound to say the least! Here's their website:

I don't miss the Beatles one bit, with their amaturish songs decorated by talented arrangements (by talented arrangers who were not them). I understand, that the music ignorants found their quirky and incomplete songs attractive, so the public was blessed with that! Anyway, the big thing now is RAP by rhyming (sometimes), arrogant and repulsive people. No accounting for the non-discrimiminating tastes of the young public. Real music is only being appreciated by a small segment of this generation.

James, to jazz buffs, those were called "Ghost Bands". If you find them so pleasurable, I sincerely wish you to enjoy! I find them, at least, only semi-palatable, but that style is not really my cup of tea.
