Many years ago, I ordered some Sony memory sticks. They were delivered to the wrong address, 2 houses north of me. No one there admitted to seeing them. The people at the carrier company said they were delivered and had a signature acknowledging delivery. Another inquiry of the person who signed, no never saw any package. The company re-sent them. Those I received. Fortunately, impatience was my only deadline.

I ordered a Canon 18-135mm STM lens from Mpb . It's an online camera store selling used gear like KEH camera . It was supposed to arrive by Thursday September 14th . I had an event the next day to shoot . The next day came and nothing arrived . I called and Fedex and they claim they delivered it . But on Thursday my wife was home and on Friday we were both home . And in 20 plus years nothing was ever stolen off our porch . But I suppose there's a first time for everything . We went down to the police station and filed a police report and now we are waiting for Fedex to do some sort of investigation with Mpb. Did this ever happen to anyone here and what was the outcome ?

I always have problems with Fedex, however, 1 and a half years ago I ordered a d750 from Crutchfield to be delivered with signature delivery. I was waiting patiently for the package as it usually gets delivered around 6 pm. Nothing. I decided to open my door at 7 pm and there it was. Never signed for it. When I inquired as to why it wasn’t signed for by me, they showed me a picture of a signature that was not mine.

Had that one too. When a driver does that it's fraud but try to get something done about it; the police won't lift a finger.

UPS actually entered tracking data that a package had been delivered on Friday to my porch but they didn't actually deliver until Monday. Never did get a satisfactory answer on that one! Of course I thought the package had been stolen. UPS is usually pretty good.

Have had that one too.

You are not out but have a fight on your hands. UPS takes care of problems like this Fed Ex does not. File a claim with them and don't back down; even take them to small claims court if needed. Fed Ex is terrible, so badly that I refuse to buy form anyone who uses them. They damaged a home theater unit I had being returned from warranty work and refused to pay. I had to get quite insistent with their clams department who put me through hell. In the end they paid me less than half of the value of it. I should have taken them to small claims court myself. Live and learn I guess. Let us know how it goes and report the process of hell they put you through.

It doesn't matter if it was insured or not. They were paid to deliver the package to you and they failed to do so. You can also file a claim with your credit card company. You paid a business to deliver to you an item that you never received, therefore you don't pay for it. First though, you should call the merchant and tell them you never received the product and give them a chance to rectify the problem.

Hopefully FEDEX will fix it and either find your lens or work with MPB to have another one shipped. The only problem we’ve ever had is with USPS. The shipment needed a signature but the postal carrier was running late. It showed delivered but we sat waiting all day for it. I literally had to chase her down to get the package with several thousand dollars worth of stuff inside. Another time she dropped the signature required package in the large parcel mailbox. UPS has always been very good and now that I’m retired I can sit home and wait for stuff.
I hope you get your lens and don’t have to take a loss.

I try, whenever possible, to have things shipped either via the post office or UPS. I don't mind picking things up from the Post Office. I also know my mailman who is careful about leaving things for me in an obscure place when I alert him to what's up(I really can't say enough good things about the USPS). With UPS, if it is at all possible, I arrange to pick up packages at the local UPS store because I work full time. FEDEX is another story. Even paying extra, they go by what the seller wants to do, not the buyer, so if the seller says it has to be delivered to a specific address, they won't let me redirect (at least with registered mail--I buy a lot of books from abroad and that's how they want to send things for security reasons). I do know that people go around stealing packages off of porches, so it is a concern.

I see packages being delivered all the time by Fedex and UPS. The driver jumps out of his truck with package in hand, goes to the front porch, drops off and maybe knocks on the door. Then like magic, he quickly disappears and drives off.

I guess the only way to know your package will arrive to you is to have your sender place a "Signature Required" order on your item.

I wondef what the salary and benefits the worker gets? Companies seem always to low ball these so their most competent people quit for eksewhere.

I had a FEDX package (a Carpet the wife had purchased) delivered, that never show up, according to FedX. Now a lady across town call us a couple of days later and advised my wife that she had a package addressed to us. Low and behold here was the carpet the wife had ordered. Advised FedX and they took a report and indicated they were not happy to have this kind of a problem. What ever happened I have no Idea.

We have found FedEx to be very unreliable. Just last week they claimed to have delivered an item to our front porch - we live in the middle of the woods and there is no way it would have been stolen (it still hasn't been located)! They have left expensive computer equipment at the bottom of our 1000' lane as well as an order which was left at an abandoned property a quarter mile from us. We have begun requesting that orders be sent via UPS - we've never had a problem with them.

Spot on Sue. Now, when I order online I stipulate anything but FEDEX, or I won't order from them!!! I had a nightmare with an expensive lens the loons lost!

It's quite possible that it was delivered but to the wrong address. This happened to a fellow worker a year ago. He finally got a copy of the delivery ticket and the address it was delivered to was on a street designated as NW (northwest) but his actual address and the one on the package was SW (southwest). He drove to that house and found that package that supposedly was delivered was on the porch of an obviously abandoned home. UPS never was able to explain how a driver could have made that mistake.

A good question John. Back in the early 90's it was RPS, (Roadway Package Systems) and I leased my tractor onto them as a contractor. When FED EX bought them out, they cut the mileage rate by $0.10 which is huge. Needless to say I bough a reefer trailer and moved on to greener pastures. I don't know how FED EX pays their package drivers, which I believe are contractors, but back in the day they were paid by the package, so that just may explain the terrible service.

I have had issues also! UPS and FEDEX both have left my packages at number 39 but on a different street clear across town! All times the person at that address tracked me done, an honest person, but not everyone is! My last purchase was a new camera body, UPS seears they left it on the back deck. I searched for an hour no camera. After bantering back and forth with UPS, the driver calls me to tell me heeft it the mailbox at the end of my driveway 700 feet from the house! I go down to the mailbox, love and behold there is the camera box "STUFFED" into my neighbors box, and I mean stuffed! Took photos of stuffing, distance from house, wrong box, and as I opened it, as I was going g to immediately file a claim! But camera body was in good shape, thank you Nikon for packaging. Keep an eye out, check local pawn shops, and people who have a camera like yours!
