Help renumbering photos in PS CC

I searched on line, came up with a lot of dead ends.

Fastest way I know in PS CC is to open Bridge, select the images you want to rename by highlighting them. While the images are highlighted, right-click and select "Batch rename".
It will open an interactive dialog box to complete the process.

Just for future reference, you may also rename them in Windows. Open up File Explorer, navigate to the folder, select those to be renamed and click on "Rename" icon (up top). Hitting "F2" will also rename them.

If you also use Lightroom, you don't want to use Windows to rename or LR will lose track of them. LR can easily do a mass renaming/renumbering, BTW.
